Why we chose it

Each sculpt comes with its own diorama scene to display it on. The steps run from rough filing to a waxed finish.

Description

This kit holds a hand-cut stone shape to file into a finished animal. There are 4 sculpts to carve: T-Rex, Stegosaurus, Turtle or Penguin.

Filing comes first, then 2 grades of sandpaper, then wax and a buffing cloth. The finished piece stands on a fold-up diorama with fun facts.

  • Ages 8 to 99, as printed on the box
  • Soapstone shape for the T-Rex, Stegosaurus and Turtle; alabaster for the Penguin
  • Carving file, 2 grades of sandpaper, polishing wax and buffing cloth
  • Step-by-step guide with QR code video tutorials
